Rate your website across five pillars of value. Takes about 15 minutes. Be honest — this is a diagnostic, not a test.
How It Works
Your website creates value in five ways. Most businesses only measure one (if any). This scorecard rates each pillar from 1 to 4, so you can see where you're strong, where you're exposed, and where to invest next.
Your overall maturity stage equals your lowest-scoring pillar — the chain breaks at its weakest point.
The Five Pillars
1. Economic Value
How the website generates, supports, or compounds financial returns. Can you attribute specific leads or sales to the website? Do you know your cost per lead? Is conversion tracking set up?
2. Brand Value
How the website shapes perception, trust, and long-term brand equity. Is branded search growing? Does the site match your brand identity? Would a prospect trust your business based on the website alone?
3. Organisational Value
How digital maturity changes how the organisation works. Can your team update content without external help? Do multiple team members use the CMS? Can you onboard new staff using website-hosted content?
4. Operational Value
How digital operations create efficiency, resilience, and competitive edge. Is uptime above 99.9%? Are Core Web Vitals passing? Are security updates and backups automated?
5. Strategic Value
How digital informs and shapes the direction of the business. Is organic traffic growing? Do you review analytics monthly? Does website data inform business decisions beyond marketing?
Scoring
Each pillar is scored from 1 to 4:
- 1 — Foundation: Not being addressed. No measurement, no intentional activity.
- 2 — Tactical: Basic coverage. Some activity happening, minimal measurement.
- 3 — Strategic: Actively managed. Regular measurement, data-informed decisions.
- 4 — Innovative: Optimised and integrated. Advanced measurement, automation.
